Terms of use

The aim of the VSoil modelling platform project is to promote the creation of numerical models (or modules) modelling soil behaviour and the interface between soil and plants. As a consequence, the user is encouraged to add or modify processes, modules (computer codes) and models already available within the platform. He is encouraged to exchange any addition or modification with other users. There are "export" and "import" functions available in the different applications of the VSoil platform for this purpose. Moreover, contributors should contact the VSoil team to make their addition public and accessible for all users.

The user is asked to quote the platform in any publication using models or modules developed within the platform or extracted from the platform. A "ready to use" quotation text is provided below, but feel free to use your own.

Users must read the licence. It contains, especially, everything regarding intellectual property and computer programs diffusion. We remind you that installing the software is equivalent to accepting the licence.

Quotation text:

Simulations have been carried out using the INRAE VSoil modelling platform. The platform provides an easy way to use and couple numerical models representing processes occuring in soils. All information about the platform and how to use it and contribute can be found in the dedicated web site: https://vsoil.hub.inrae.fr (DOI: https://doi.org/10.17180/xya8-vp04).
