Transport de colloïdes en milieux poreux. Thesis Director : Philippe Coussot (IFSTAR) and Eric Michel (EMMAH).

The platform was used to build models based on the CDE or the MIM transport equations applied to colloids. The models used several modules for simulating the deposition and mobilisation of the colloids depending on their properties. The modularity was important as several formulations for the retention of the colloids could be easily developed and tested against experiments. Thanks to the use of RMN, depth distribution of the colloids could be monitored at various times as well as breakthrough curves. Comparison of model predictions and observations helped testing the modelling of the deposition-mobilisation mechanisms.
